Innovations for life-saving technologies: projects we participate in

Research-Project-Mini-Defi

The EU, the German federal government and the German states support innovative research projects in medical technology through many funding programmes. We also use this opportunity to continuously expand our expertise and drive new technologies forward. We work together with companies as well as well-known research institutes and universities. An overview of current project participations.

Combined unit for defibrillation and ventilation

VentCore

The aim of the joint project „VentCore“ is to develop a combined device with diagnostics (12-channel ECG, oxygen saturation, blood pressure) and therapy units for defibrillation and ventilation. The additional integration of a special ventilation mode to support cardiac massage (Chest Compression Synchronised Ventilation, CCSV) enables fast and effective resuscitation. Together with WEINMANN Emergency, Corscience is creating a demonstrator to demonstrate the technical feasibility, among other things. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

Minature defibrillator with cloud connectivity

Careful monitoring of preterm neonates

In the “NeoWatch” project, the research team at Nuremberg Technical University is working on sophisticated sensor technology that monitors the most important vital signs of premature babies (heartbeat, respiration and body temperature) without coming into contact with them. As a partner in this project, we can primarily contribute our expertise in sensor technologies, the recognition of vital signs and (at the end of the project) in the certification of medical devices. NeoWatch is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and was named project of the month in July 2020.

Corscience is actively shaping the future of medical technology. Whether it be in electrostimulation, monitoring, mobile health, gas analysis, ventilation or even system development – we’re continuously developing new technologies and applications.
