Review of the year 2019 and outlook on 2020
A short review of the year 2019 by our CEO Dr. Claudius Moor. Read here what has especially influenced us in the past year and what we are looking forward to in the year to come.
Dear customers, dear partners,
the turn of the year is accomplished and we start with pious intentions into the new year – time to look back and to welcome the coming year.
Through our three business branches “Medical Device Engineering”, “Products and Licenses” and “Manufacturing and Test Services” we have again served customer requirements and project enquiries successfully in 2019.
In the field of development, this resulted in projects
in defibrillation (AED, professional unit for emergency medical service)
in the field of application of blood pumps (control unit for VAD, components for ECMO)
as well as in the field of mechatronic systems (foot control panel for operating theatre).
Beyond that, many further projects addressed our competences in electrical stimulation, gas analysis, monitoring, mobile health, ventilation as well as in systems engineering. You can learn more about this by reading our success stories on our homepage.
In order to be able to continue to provide ready-to-use integration solutions next to order-based development, we improved our offer in the field of “Products and Licenses” in 2019. As an example, we reworked the capnography module for continuous respiratory monitoring technologically and received a clearance for our Bluetooth ECG unit COR12 within the framework of a 510 (k) process for the US.
In our business field “Manufacturing“, the main tasks consisted in the production transfer of a control unit for a cardiac support system and a foot control panel for use in operating theatres. The numbers of units to be expected for both products strengthen our manufacturing site in Erlangen and with that the production of medium-sized volumes for an international market.
Next to the above-mentioned projects within our business fields, we were accompanied throughout the year by the preparation for MDR certification, which we will receive mid-2020. Moreover, we expanded our sales team in 2019 with Mr. Andreas Rupp, who is in the position of Head of Sales and Marketing at Corscience since last April.
We will continue working constantly in 2020 in order to expand our offer for you. This includes an update of our homepage, which among other aspects is meant to better depict our competences in system or device development.
We thank you for your confidence, for the great number of joint projects and wish you every success for the year 2020! Keep up to date and follow us on LinkedIn, Xing and Facebook or stay connected with our E-Mail-Newsletter.
