About the Webinar

Usability in medical technology is about enabling intended users to operate a device effectively, safely, and efficiently in its intended environment by minimizing use errors and supporting safe outcomes. For modern medical devices, usability is a critical part of risk management and regulatory compliance. Standards and regulations increasingly require manufacturers to systematically address use related risks during development. Frameworks such as IEC 62366, ISO 14971, and the EU MDR or FDA emphasize the need to identify potential use errors early and evaluate them throughout the product lifecycle.

In this webinar, we discuss how usability engineering can be integrated into the development process of medical devices.
